How to Do an Image or Reverse Image Search with Google Chrome on Your iPhone

Image searches are great for when something catches your eye while browsing and you want more information. Here's how to do an image search or reverse image search using the Google Chrome app. There are other search engines that can be used for image searches, along with a growing number of apps solely for this purpose. However, I like using Google Chrome since the image search option while browsing is easy to use with just a few taps.

To do an image search for an image displayed on Google Chrome:


Open the Google Chrome app.




Bring up the image you want to search and press on the image for the menu to pop up. Tap Search Google for This Image.




You'll see other sites this image was posted on. More than a few of these results could be from Pinterest, which essentially reposts the image without related information. Additionally, Google Chrome will suggest visually similar searches.



To do a reverse image search with an image you have saved on your device:


Open Google Chrome and go to images.google.com.




Tap the three dots at the lower right corner to open the menu.




Tap Request Desktop Site.




Tap the camera icon. Select Upload an image. You can use your thumb and forefinger to to zoom in on the page.

Image searches work better for images that can't be easily confused for other images. For example, well-defined and colorful photos or artwork are easier to find search matches for than simple black and white or blurry images. Additionally, if you image search something like a text post or a note, your search results will likely just be visually similar images with some being completely unrelated to the subject or context. For example, I did an image search for this Oscar Wilde quote image with the search results on the left, which included suggestions for job hunting websites:



Image search can help you find where a picture originated and gain more information. With Google Chrome recommending similar images and searches, you can also expand options for variety, especially if you're wanting to find similar products or styles shown in the image.

Tap on "Cancel Free Trial."

Make sure you don't cancel your Apple News+ subscription until you've finished giving the service a try because Apple says that your service ends immediately if you hit the cancel button. Apple Announces Original TV Streaming Service 'Apple TV+'

Apple today announced its TV subscription service, Apple TV+, at the Steve Jobs Theater in California. This is the long-rumored service that will host Apple's original television shows and films, and be located within the revamped Apple TV app.






Apple says that Apple TV+ will be the home for "the world's most creative storytellers," and it will feature original TV shows, movies, and documentaries. As we've learned over the past few months, original content partners include Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, J.J. Abrams, Jason Momoa, and more.

“We’re honored that the absolute best lineup of storytellers in the world — both in front of and behind the camera — are coming to Apple TV+,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services.




“We’re thrilled to give viewers a sneak peek of Apple TV+ and cannot wait for them to tune in starting this fall. Apple TV+ will be home to some of the highest quality original storytelling that TV and movie lovers have seen yet.”

LG today announced that its first 2019 OLED TVs with AI ThinQ will be debuting in April. These models, like other TVs in the 2019 lineup, will support AirPlay 2 and HomeKit later this year.




The 65-inch E9 and C9 models will be the first to launch, with additional models and screen sizes coming in May or June. Other LG OLED models will be announced later in the year.






LG's 2019 lineup, first revealed at CES, will be available in screen sizes ranging from 55 inches to 77 inches.




Along with TVs from Samsung, Sony, and Vizio, LG's newest TVs will include AirPlay 2 support. With AirPlay 2 support, LG TV users will be able to beam photos, videos, and music from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the LG TV, similar to how the Apple TV works today.




HomeKit support will let users control their television sets using Siri voice commands or the Home app on the iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Siri will be able to be used to do things like play a specific TV show or movie to be AirPlayed to your smart TV.




All of the LG OLED, NanoCell SM9X, NanoCell SM8X, and UHD UM7X television sets from 2019 will work with Apple's services according to Apple's HomeKit website.

According to a new report, Samsung is working on two other folding designs to debut after the Galaxy Fold goes on sale, as well as working on durability concerns for that first device.

Bloomberg reports this week that Samsung has two other folding smartphone designs coming to help “seize an early lead” in the new market. Samsung has not made a comment on the report, but apparently, the new designs won’t be the same as the Galaxy Fold.






Samsung’s new designs reportedly include one that folds outward to compete with the Huawei Mate X. As expected, the device will also be thinner than the Galaxy Fold and have no extra display. The report also mentions that Samsung may implement an in-display fingerprint sensor on that device.

Further, Samsung is also working on a device that folds vertically like an old flip phone. This device may have an outer display, but that apparently depends on how users react to the Galaxy Fold’s outer display. Notably, Lenovo is apparently working on a device that folds like this as well.




Bloomberg’s report also mentions that Samsung is working on some durability improvements for its Galaxy Fold. This includes eliminating the crease that appears after the device is folded around 10,000 times. The company may offer free screen replacements. Apparently, this durability issue is why the Galaxy Fold hasn’t been available for hands-on experiences yet.




The Galaxy Fold’s screen imperfection develops on a protective film covering the touch sensor bonded with the display underneath, the person said. If you get weird contacts and symbols after you have imported contacts in bulk from another source to your phone, this means the contacts were not successfully imported and could cause problems with your Apple watch. Deleting the contacts using Contacts on the paired iPhone is the only way of removing the sync issue. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to your iPhone Contacts and select the problem contact.

Step 2: Click Edit from the top right side.

Step 3: Then scroll down to delete the contact, click on it and confirm your delete action.


5. Reset Sync Data

iPhones With Third-Party Batteries Are Now Eligible for Repairs

Apple usually takes a pretty hard-line approach to approved repairs at its retail stores. But it’s apparently starting to broaden its scope a bit.

That’s the report out of iGeneration on Tuesday, and as it relates to batteries. According to the publication, Apple is now covering repairs for iPhones that are installed with third-party batteries. Up to this point, the Genius Bar at an Apple Store, and third-party authorized repair shops, have been told to deny service to iPhone owners that have inserted a non-Apple battery into their iPhone.

According to the documentation, Apple is now ordering repair individuals to ignore the third-party battery altogether if the repair is not connected to the battery. Those repairs would include the display, and other parts that aren’t the battery.

If the repair is tied to the battery, and if the battery is a third-party option, then Apple is instructing those repairing the device to replace it with an authorized Apple battery. This will be covered by the standard fees in place. The documentation says that the repair person also has to drain the third-party battery to less than 60% of its charge.

The new change should be implemented worldwide, so if you do have a third-party battery in your iPhone, it sounds like you shouldn’t be ushered away any longer if you do need a repair. And, according to the documentation, the change went into effect last Thursday.

This is decidedly good news! Apple has been strict in the past, and, in most cases, it still is. Even when it comes to issues that it refuses to admit to (even after fixing it). Plus, this should get more people to come in and pay for the battery replacement fee.

Following are some other solutions you can try to fix iPhone update error 4000:
a. Restart Your iDevice and Your Computer

This is a simple yet effective solution that may or may not solve the problem. However, some users had success updating their iPhone after restarting their device and computer so it is definitely worth a try. Simply unplug your iPhone from your computer and restart it and also restart your computer. Then plug the iPhone back in and try to update it via iTunes.
